About Willow House School

Willow House School is based in Cheadle, Cheshire. It shares its location with and provides onsite education for Ivy Cottage therapeutic children’s home home. The home and school work collaboratively, alongside the clinical team to deliver the Restorative Parenting Recovery Programme.

What is unique about Willow House School

We think one of the most important parts of our job is to get to know the children and build really positive relationships using therapeutic care. This helps us learn exactly what our children respond well to and aids them emotionally, socially and educationally enabling them to progress through the Restorative Parenting ® programme and move on to succeed within their next placement and throughout their lives.

Our Goal

To provide the best quality of education and care for vulnerable children through a vibrant curriculum which fully prepares pupils for their future economic wellbeing and to nurture outstanding personal development.

Ofsted Report

‘The majority of pupils successfully move on to mainstream schools and successful long-term fostering placements.’

Willow House School provides an environment where children are encouraged to thrive and find their love for learning. The children enjoy an engaging curriculum that builds the knowledge and skills that they require to enable them to approach the next stage of their education with confidence. The children are inquisitive learners who want to achieve socially, emotional and academically, and are supported to do so by the positive relationships they have with staff at the school. The children feel safe, happy and cared for and as a result progress through the Restorative Parenting programme with increased success. We strive to provide the best quality education and care for our children.
