About Woodlands School

Woodlands School opened in December 2013 and is based in the Lancashire area. It shares its location with and provides education for The Woodlands therapeutic home, working collaboratively, alongside the clinical team to deliver the Restorative Parenting Recovery Programme.

Leaders have developed an ambitious curriculum. Pupils follow a wide range of subjects.
Leaders identify pupils’ special educational needs and/or disabilities accurately. They use pupils’ individual education, health and care plans effectively to ensure that the curriculum is suitably adjusted to meet pupils’ needs. This helps pupils to achieve well socially, emotionally and academically.
Leaders prioritise reading because they want pupils to become confident and fluent readers.

Meet The Team

“As Assistant Education Director, I am dedicated to ensuring every child is having the best possible experience and receiving the support they need to thrive. I love seeing children engage in exciting lessons, discover new interests and celebrate their achievements.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time walking my dog, travelling to new places and working in my garden. I particularly enjoy creating flower arrangements and bringing a little creativity into everything I do.

I believe learning should be engaging, enjoyable and full of opportunities to grow. I look forward to visiting the school, sharing in your successes and, of course, having plenty of laughs along the way.”
