About Primrose Lodge| Residential Children’s Home

Primrose Lodge is a therapeutic home in Stoke, specifically designed, furnished, and managed to optimally deliver the Restorative Parenting® Recovery Programme and ensure children placed in the home achieve outstanding outcomes and recovery from childhood trauma. At Primrose Lodge, we address the emotional, behavioural, social, and developmental needs of the child, 80% of the children who complete the Programme successfully transition to foster or a kinship placement.

Primrose Lodge is an integrated home with a wide range of therapeutic interventions and an onsite school to achieve the best outcome for the child. On-site education is provided at our independent, DfE registered Spruce House school.

Primrose Lodge is a 5-bedroom home for children aged 5-12 years upon admission. The house has recently been decorated to a high standard; it has a large playroom filled with interactive toys and games and a spacious dining room so everyone can sit together at mealtimes. Primrose Lodge is situated on a large plot of land that offers the children plenty of freedom to play in a safe and enriching environment. There are excellent railways and motorway links, so travel is easy from any part of the country. There are fantastic links to the community with the opportunity to take part in football, climbing, trampolining, and hockey.

Our Mission | Restorative Parenting Programme

Our mission is to enhance children’s psychological health within the care system. Our Restorative Parenting® Recovery Programme is a therapeutic re-parenting programme that focuses on addressing the child’s emotional, behavioural, social, and developmental needs.

The Restorative Parenting® Recovery Index (RPRI) is both a marker of a child’s progress and a guide through the therapeutic journey.
